Now high profiling it on "The L Word", Pam Grier gets matronly in this 1970s B movie classic.
This cult women-in-prison number stars Grier as “Alabama", the sadistic head matron of a foreign Filipino women's prison who likes to love and lash the prisoners. Two prisoners in particular attract her attention - a hot-blooded redhead, and the prison-informant blonde. Both are subjected to her "playpen" dungeon for misbehavior, before they start fighting back.
