The lesbian vampire Ingrid Pitt is at a dance ball in a Castle sometime during the 19th centuary. She instantly notices a beautiful girl (Pippa Steel) who's dancing with a boy. Steel also notices Pitt but she thinks that she's looking at her dance-partner. She says to him: "Have you seen how she looks at you? I'm sure she would like to steal you away from me.." He quickly looks at Pitt and says: "Nonsense! She's looking at you.." Pitt decides to make the young girl her next victim. |
Actresses: Ingrid Pitt & Pippa Steel
Pitt is staying at Steel's parents house and immediately enchants Steel with her seducing charm. In this scene Pitt is sitting by the bed where Steel is laying. She leans over her and lip-kisses her briefly and then start to kiss her neck. Steel is afraid she will leave her someday but Pitt says: "I will never leave you my dear.."

Actresses: Ingrid Pitt & Madeline Smith
Later in the movie, Pitt is staying at another household. She's very interrested in the daughter Madeline Smith. She hypnotizes her one evening when Pitt is having a bath and Smith enters the room. She wants to try on one of Pitt's beautiful dresses. Pitt climbs out of the tub and Smith tries on of the dresses but it's too big on her but she won't admit it so Pitt starts to chase her while both are giggling. Smith falls on to the bed and Pitt lays herself on top of her and looks deeply into her eyes. Smith is instantly hypnotized. From this point, Pitt visits Smith every night to suck her blood. |
Actresses: Ingrid Pitt & Kate O'Mara
O'Mara, the beautiful Governess of the house, runs into Smith's bedroom one evening after having heard a scream from there. Smith tells her that she's been bitten by something. Pitt enters the room and says that it must have been the sharp jewelry she earlier had lent to Smith . Pitt shows it to O'Mara and then puts it onto O'Mara's nightgown near her breasts which she also lightly touches. They both leave the room and once they've closed the door behind them, they look very seductively at each other. Pitt walks slowly towards her bedroom and now and then turns her head to see if O'Mara is following her which she is. When they have reached Pitt's bedroom, Pitt tells O'Mara to turn off the light. At the same time she's letting her nightgown fall down onto the floor and the scene ends. |
Actresses: Ingrid Pitt & Madeline Smith
Smith are laying in her bed telling Pitt about the nightmares she has had for a while. She dreams about a big black fury cat visiting her every night. She's frightened by the cat but after a while the cat turns into Pitt who then kisses her and everything feels wonderful. After Smith has told her about the nightmare, Pitt comforts her and looks deeply into her eyes which hypnotizes her again. Pitt pulls down Smith's nightgown a bit, exposing her breasts. She first kisses her and then she lightly caresses her arms and breasts. It's implied Smith is once again bitten by her. |

A classic lesbian vampire movie from the UK production company "Hammer". They made several lesbian vampire movies during the late 60's and early 70's. This is probably the best one. My favorite scene is actually scene #3 which showed nothing but the way Pitt seduced O'Mara and had her following her to her room was incredibly sensual and erotic.

Zahir al-Daoud:
Build-up: 3 Kissing: 2 Love-scenes: 4 Movie overall: 3
As a long-time fan of both vampires and lesbians (not to mention the delightful fusion of these two genres) I can't help but thing about how this film fits into history. For practically the first time, the "lesbian vampire" actually was both! And that was explicit! Madeleine Smith and Ingrid Pitt are both lovely, with a genuine chemistry (even if the former's character is rather dim). Plus a genuine sense of tragedy, as Pitt comes across as a slave to her dreadful addiction.
On another level, it was pretty clear that Kate O'Mara's character (the governess) was also a lesbian--or at least fell totally in lust/love with Pitt's.
I should also mention this was the first, most explicit example of oral sex I ever saw on screen. When Pitt supposadely "bites" Smith after she wakes from a nightmare, my own impression has always been that what was happening didn't really involve teeth.
Altogether, a charming and erotic example of (somewhat primitive) vampiric horror.
