Follows the story of Jane (Ellen Muth), a High School girl who developes an intense relationship with a female classmate (Alicia Lagano). The problem is that her mother and her friends don't seem to understand.

Muth is at home when her friend Lagano visits her. Lagano is upset because her mother blames her for the family problems. Muth strokes Lagano's face and assures her that it will be alright. The end up having a nervous kiss. The pull away briefly befroe they kiss again. They stroke each other.

Muth visits Lagano's home when her mother is away. They go into Lagano's room where they stand. Muth isn't sure she wants to do this but doesn't want to stop. Lagano begins to undress Muth as both kiss each other and hold hands. They move to the bed where the scene moves ahead. The next shows them both in bed, with Lagano stroking Muth's hair.

This movie falls into what I call the "Lesbian After-School Special" category: a non-explicit coming-of-age that, besides being about lesbians, is otherwise pretty mainstream.
While sincere, the movie is a bit heavy-handed, and comes across as a PFLAG recruiting film. Don't get me wrong; PFLAG (Parents, Friends & Family of Lesbians and Gays) is a great organization doing important work - it's just that this movie pushes the message a bit too hard.
Aside from that, the characters are believable enough, as is the emotional turmoil of both the mother and her lesbian daughter.
