A sweet little French-Canadian film about first love getting a second chance. The character played by Stephanie Morgenstern, a woman in her early 30's who's just ended a long relationship, decides to get her life in order by making a 'to-do' list. The final item on this list is 'See Julie again', Julie (played by Dominique Leduc) being the best friend she hasn't seen in 15 years. Julie is at first reluctant to continue their friendship - which was broken off when Juliette tried to kiss her - but as the day wears on they rekindle what was a mutual, if not entirely comfortable, attraction.

Having spent the day together talking about old times, the two women drink in Leduc's farmhouse and discuss the way their lives have turned out. When Leduc accuses Morgenstern of being drunk (when the opposite is quite obviously the case), and asks her to prove that she isn't, Morgenstern responds by kissing her. This unfortunately frightens the skittish Leduc, who jumps up and says goodnight. The next morning, Morgenstern dreams that Leduc brings her breakfast in bed and begins to strip, waking just as they begin to kiss.

After arguing about whether or not the attraction is mutual, Leduc steals Morgenstern's keys and sits waiting for her on the hood of her car. When she approaches, Leduc hesitantly pulls her closer and begins to kiss her. They then move to the house, where things become more passionate (and rather comical): they fumble with jackets and shoes, fall over sofas, and eventually ending up making out on the living room floor. The scene is played more cute than sexy, but is still quite hot.

The two (now) lovers sit across from one another at the table, eating pasta and drinking wine. They pause briefly after watching each other eat to stand up, lean across the table and exchange a long kiss - but not before wiping their mouths, of course - then return to their meals. Again, more funny than sexy.

A wonderful little gem that deserves to be seen outside of Canada, this film is incredibly unique - it's probably the first film to feature a sex scene done entirely with (animated) classic works of art, and it relies on good dialogue and acting rather than in-your-face sex.
