Michelle Clunie and Thea Gill play a lesbian couple. They married each other in episode 11 of the second season.
Clunie's ex-girlfriend (Nancy Sakovich) is currently living in their house while she's helping Gill to renovate the attic and this was of course something Gill initially wasn't too happy about. She changed her mind though when she realised how difficult the renovating was so in exchange for the help, she could stay there until they're finished.
Soon it became obvious that Gill was a bit attracted to Sakovich. She accidentally saw her undress and didn't leave immediately, she stood there for a while and watched her.
In this episode, Gill and Clunie are experiencing a downperiod in their sex-life. Gill has her mind occupied with the renovating and the fact that they have a guest in the house also makes it difficult for them to find time to be with each other.

They're laying in their bed one evening and Clunie begins to massage Gill. They're interupted by Sakovich who stands in the doorway. She tells them that she's just finished the attic floor. After she leaves, Clunie continues with her special kind of massage, which she calls "foreplay". She tells Gill to turn around and they begin to kiss each other. Then she moves down on Gill, licking her breasts and stomach but things don't heat up as both are very tired so they actually fall asleep in that position.

Their male gay friends teases them, blaiming the lack of sex on the phenomena "Lesbian Bed Death" which Sakovich, when she hears about it, says is bullshit. They just need to shake things up, do something different, be spontaneous. So said and done, they take in at a motel that rent out rooms on an hourly basis. The room is dirty, the bed is very uncomfortable and once they've begun to kiss and undress, they hear a couple in another room having sex so obviously, it wasn't such a good idea afterall. They endup watching TV...

Thea Gill & Nancy Sakovich

Gill and Sakovich meet each other in the kitchen one night, both having woken up feeling hungry. They sit down in the living room and Gill tells Sakovich about the motel disaster. Sakovich notices that Gill's shoulders are tight and tells her to lay down on the couch so she can give her a massage. Gill nervously says it's not nescessary but Sakovich insists. Sakovich sits down ontop of Gill and begins to massage her. She leans down on her and whispers in her ear, telling her about various massage techniques. She says something which makes them both giggle and right at that moment, Clunie comes down the stairs and sees them on the couch. The scene ends.

Clunie confronts Sakovich about what she had seen the night before. Sakovich says it was just a friendly massage but Clunie doesn't believe her. She says that Gill purred when she massaged her.."All I know is that everything was fine before you moved in." She tells Sakovich to leave.
Shortly after, she tells Gill about it, who becomes upset and asks her why she told her to leave. They're not even finished with the renovation. They begin to argue quite heavily..Gill says: "She's doing an amazing job!". Clunie adds: "Not just in the attic.." and fills in: "All this time I was thinking that the reason that we're not feeling very sexual was because we're too tired, that we have too much on our minds. I didn't realise what you had on your mind was her.".
Gill finally admits she's attracted to Sakovich but she accuses Clunie of the same thing, that she's still attracted to her ex-girlfriend. When they stand there arguing back and forth, Sakovich shows up in the doorway. She has packed her belongings and has come to say goodbye. She says to them that they should soundproof the walls because she could hear everything. Just when she's about to leave, Clunie calls her back and says that they have been friends for too long for it to end like this and that she wants her to stay.
Sakovich walks forward to Clunie and gives her a quick kiss, then she kisses Gill more passionately. The room suddenly becomes erotically charged. Sakovich watches as Clunie and Gill open-mouth kiss and then she once again kisses both of them. As all three of them begin to undress, Clunie and Gill give each other yet another wonderful kiss.

This is one of the best TV-series episode I've seen. It's amazing really to see the difference between the first season and the second season, how Clunie and Gill looked so nervous when they kissed each other earlier but how they in later episodes are so much more into it, especially in this episode.
