Marissa (Mischa Barton) and Summer try to convince Lindsay to take part in a girls night out. Eventually, the ladies will end up at the Bait Shop. The return of Alex's (Olivia Wilde) ex gives Seth an insight into the sort of woman he's dating, as Ryan gives Marissa hell for letting Lindsay booze her way through a girls night out.

After dropping Lindsay off, Alex and Marrissa go to Alex's place (where Jodie-the-not-ex is also hanging out). While they're there, Seth and Ryan show up to appologize for earlier behavior. After separating to do the appology sessions (Seth/Alex outside; Marrissa/Ryan inside), the guys leave and Alex goes back inside to hang with Marrissa. Marrissa mentions Jodie is now asleep. Alex declares she's tired of "girls and guys". They crash on the couch together to watch an old horror film. The ladies snuggle up (under a blanket) on the couch (while Jodie-the-not-ex is sleeping somewhere else in the house).
