Mass Effect is Sci-Fi role playing game developed by Bioware, who also made Jade Empire. The game begins with a very nice character creation process where you can, among other things, decide your character's appearance in detail. As you can see from the first few screen caps, you can vary her look a lot. I went for the last one..
The game itself is extraordinary good. You feel like you're watching a movie, but one which story you can change the course of. Everything about the game such as story, voice acting, character interaction, locations, graphics and combat is excellent. I first played Mass Effect on Xbox 360, and it was good, but the newly released PC version is so much better in every area.
You will eventually meet an archeologist named Liara. She's a member of an all-female alien race called the Asari, and she immediately shows interest in your character. If you decide to, you can let her know you feel the same way about her. Later in the game, there's a short but very nice love scene involving the two women.
Bioware announced early on that Mass Effect will be a trilogy, and that choices you make in the first game will still be part of your character when you play Mass Effect 2. Hopefully, this means you can continue your relationship with Liara!
