A bittersweet reproductive romantic comedy reminiscent of 101 Reykjavik. Meet mousy Venla, a psychologist working at an infertility clinic, who wants a baby. Her jock husband Antero absolutely doesn't, so much so he secretly feeds her liquid contraceptives. Secrets and lies unfold as Venla takes solace and company from bisexual doctor Satu, who decides to help her friend get pregnant. Love is in the air and the two eventually... well that would be telling! Finland's first mainstream lesbian feature and the country's official Oscar nomination for best foreign film, this is an important landmark in Finnish film and queer culture. A tender delight.
