An HBO movie about the Gia Carangi, the world's first real supermodel. This tells us about her rise to fame, her struggles with drugs, and her fragile relationship with her girlfriend. Gia was one of the first American women to die of AIDS.

Jolie arrives at a photo shoot and meets her make up and hair stylist Mitchell. The two exchange friendly words which could be interpreted as flirting. After the photo shoot, the photographer suggests that they make some "art" requiring the models to take off their clothes. Jolie is the only model that agrees to stay but only if Mitchell stays. We see Jolie modeling behind a chain-link fence naked. The photographer calls Mitchell and asks her to stand by the fence naked. Jolie and Mitchell stare at each other as Mitchell slowly unbuttons her shirt and removes her bra. She walks over to the fence and the two women make an instant connection.
They touch hands through the fence, Jolie touches her breast to Mitchell's hand, Jolie kisses Mitchell's breast and sucks her fingers through the fence and then finally they kiss.

Directly afterwards, the two of them can ben seen in Jolie's apartment on the bed and it involves a lot of body kisses, some french kissing, simulated fingering and oral sex. Mitchell tries to leave without Jolie knowing but Jolie runs out into the hall after her naked to try and convince her to stay but Mitchell tells her that she has a boyfriend. :(

Mitchell returns from a night of partying with her boyfriend, who is plastered. Jolie is waiting for her at the apartment door. Jolie and Mitchell's boyfriend exchange words. Jolie approaches Mitchell and says that she is the most beautiful girl she has ever seen and to come with her. All Mitchell can say is "I can't" before Jolie kisses her and the two of them passionately kiss briefly. Jolie shoves the the confused boyfriend as she leaves.

Jolie has run away from a photo shoot to score some drugs in the city. When Mitchell opens her front door the next morning she finds Jolie standing in the hallway dirty and w/ needle tracks on her arms. Mitchell embraces Jolie and they take a shower together. Its not sexual at all. Mitchell holds Jolie close to her while cleaning her needle marks with Jolie trembling.

Jolie is preparing dinner for Mitchell in her apartment. She walks over to Mitchell who's sitting by the dinner-table. She sits down on Mitchell's lap facing her. They're joking alot and are obviously very happy together. They now and then stop laughing to kiss each other.

Jolie is high and she is banging on her girlfriend Mitchell's window. Mitchell knows Jolie is high and refuses to open the window and she walks away. Jolie get's mad and kicks the window in. Mitchell goes to her bed upset and get's in. Her and Jolie get into an arguement about her drug use. Jolie tries to deny it and get's up to leave. Mitchell tells Jolie that they can't see eachother anymore. Jolie stays and they argue more.
Finally Jolie says "You don't care about me you just want to say I'm fucking a model, I'm fucking a model. Say it! Say it! Say I don't care! I don't care!" Mitchell get's out of bed and sits on the floor. Jolie goes over to her and starts to act playful as she's digging into her pockets the drugs fall out and Mitchell picks them up. Jolie pulls Mitchell inbetween her legs. Mitchell ask her to choose and Jolie starts to kiss Mitchell's body. She then grabs the drugs and get's up and leaves leaving Mitchell in tears.

This movie was absolutely excellent. Jolie performed beyond what earned her a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Gia.

If you rent or buy this for the Lesbian content make sure you have the un-rated version. The rated version severely trims the main love scene and also removes a later scene in Mitchell's apartment.

This is the BIG break through film for Angelina Jolie. An HBO original that chronicals the life of real-life super model Gia Carrangi. The film creats a composite lover that is supposedly comprised of 2 or 3 of Gia's lovers... she is well played by Elizabeth Mitchell. The seduction scene and love scenes are very nice! They are erotic as well as loving...
The unrated version has extended scenes of the love scenes created for the TV version.
Angelina's character is asked to stay after a photo shoot and "make some art" requested by the fashion shoot photographer. Jolie's character says she will stay as long as Elizabeth Mitchell's character does...raising an eyebrow towards the makeup artist played by Mitchell. The scene plays out very artistically in BW and color to very nice and seductive music which eventually leads to scene 2....
...while the same seductive music continues to play during the "art" photo shoot, we are now in Gia's bedroom and she and Mitchell are proceeding to make love... here is where more of these scenes are extended in the unrated version... much more kissing, touching, simulted oral sex...
The reamaining scenes of these two ladies aren't really involving as much sex/love making, but just simply tenderness and loving scenes. There are about 4 more scenes of these two which involves kissing, showering together, holding and touching...
Well worth seeing. these two are very convincing together.

This is a great movie. Both actress's act their socks off, and it is a tragic tale of love and the perils of addiction. The chemistry between the two characters literally jumps off the screen. They are both very sexy and do a very convincing job of finding each other sexy. The love scenes are not hugely explict but very enjoyable and erotic. The eroticism also develops because this film is so well acted that the love between Gia and Mitchell is very strong, and impacts on the love scenes. I can't rate this movie high enough both for being a fantastic film with a great lesbian relationship against all odds.

I love this movie. There is a scene missed that Anonymous sorta mentions. It's after scene 3. It involves them in the shower where Elizabeth Mitchell is holding Angelina and washing her off. Very loving, as Angelina looks like she was beat up and has just done heroin.

My favourite actress (Jolie) in one of my favourite films, the love scenes are perfectly staged and the two actresses do a really good job of showing their love!

Jolie and Mitchell really pull the scenes of well. Both girls are gorgeous and they look like they are enjoying it
