I saw this one on Swedish TV many, many years ago but I do remember how good I thought scene #2 was..how Maurier couldn't believe she had to pay her. She could very well understand why the men had to pay her but not her. It was like she saw their moments together as genuine lust, in contrast to Lafont's sexual encounters with the men of the village, which were just for the sake of money. |
