A trial attorney who is calm and self-possesed at work becomes an insatiable sexual animal away from the office.

Actresses: Tilda Swinton & Karen Sillas
Swinton the lawyer meets Sillas the psychologist, at the apartment block they share. They discuss their interest in each other, then begin making out on a hammock in Swinton's apartment. Swinton starts picking up speed but moves too fast for Sillas (but not before some tongue-kissing and neck nuzzling takes place). Sillas finally succumbs to Swinton's seduction and swoons under Swinton's lips, tongues and hands. Unfortunately, the camera does that annoying pan upwards away from the action just as things really start heating up.

This is another movie I got for the lesbian content--Swinton has a luminous presence and Sillas is vastly underused and underrated as an actress--but the movie stands on its own. All the actors do a great job, and there's a spareseness in the scenery, dialogue, and even lovemaking that adds an artistic starkness to the movie. Highly recommended--and the one lesbian love scene stays fresh no matter how many times you watch it.

Build-up: 1 Kissing: 2 Love-scenes: 3 Movie overall: 2
A somewhat disturbing movie about the perversions and neuroses of a career woman and the others around her. From boyfriends, girlfriends, and relatives, strange occurances fill this dramatic and quirky feminist flick. The scene takes place in the bedroom of one of the women. They are in a hammock as they make love. Having complained about the women's last encounter, Karen Sillas is this time getting more attention from Tilda Swinton. However, as she tries to please her lover, the other seems more interested in talking about their relationship and the sex isn't very good. Not a bad scene, but small and onconsequential compared to the rest of the freakish flick.
I enjoyed the scene, but few others in the movie. The character of the neice had some serious issues, as does everyone in this movie. If I ever rent this again, it will be to just fast forward to this scene. Sadly, the scene cannot bring the movie out of the mire and muck that surrounds the rest of this thought-heavy and dramatic movie.

It's been about 4 years since I watched this movie, of which I only rented because of the title. I figured what the hell. Anyways, I did like the little seduction build up between the two when they were getting on the elevator. I wasn't sure where it was going, and then as stated above, they were in a hammock with one being the aggressor, and the other, just wanting to "cuddle" and talk. I have to agree with the other opinion, the over all movie was not all that, and if I had known about the scene, I would have simply hit the fast-forward on the ole remote. If your taste in movies is somewhere in the area of, "I'm a professional woman who has a curiosity in women, and I also lived a very jacked up like on the side" then this movie is for you.
