Coupling can be described as an English, smuttier, version of Friends. This episode is the first in the new season. Basically the events and perspectives (in this episode) of each character interweave with each other to make up the full story.
Note: This should not be confused with the US version and you should remove all memory of it had you seen that version.

Actresses:
Gina Bellman & Sarah Alexander

In a pleasantly long scene (or scenes as the camera kept flickering back to them) Alexander "rescues" Bellman from her blind date by engaging in a very passionate snog that...well...it's like that second kiss between Alice and Dana in the last episode of The L Word, only longer than you would think. Alexander then breaks off leaving Bellman aroused, evident as she says "My ankles are feeling funny..." or something like that (you have to watch the episode fully to understand that line).

That scene really makes a climatic finish to this excellent opening episode. It ties all the couple's stories together, you understand the whys, whats, hows, whens of this episode. There are times when you think the kiss is going to end but it doesn't, definetly not a ratings grabber.
Although the kiss was only out of Alexander helping Bellman out it looked pretty convincing to me. I'm not sure whether Bellman is a bisexual or a bisexual straight woman though as she does have this habit of being suggestive and Steve did say in a previous episode "You know how Jane [Bellman] is - she swings both ways!". But then she hasn't actually been with a woman. Alexander is straight that's for sure.
All i can say is that you watch the whole series regardless of the kiss in this episode for the show is just great all-round.

Coupling is a series kinda like Friends, as it centres on a group of six friends and their struggle for love and happiness and bla bla bla... In this episode, we see the same nine and a half minutes from the diffeent perspectives of each of the three couples.

Actresses:
Gina Bellman & Sarah Alexander

Bellman wants Alexander to save her from a bad date. To do this, she pushes Bellman against the wall and kisses her passionately. The kiss lasts 45 seconds, but most of this is intersperced with various other characters, so the kiss we see lasts about 15 or 20 seconds. It's nice

Nice kiss, nice actresses, nice altogether!

In this episode Alexander wants her boyfriend to think she is still hot even though she is pregnant while Bellman wants her blind date to go away

Actresses:
Gina Bellman & Sarah Alexander

A very nice, rather long kiss, but of course, a kiss is just a kiss

This is the best Brisitsh comedy to hit our shore. (Don't let the NBC debalcle throw you off). An outstanding and funny episode from season 4, well worth watching. (Also of note is a season one episode "Inferno" where Sarah Alexander's boyfriend has to defend the artistic merits of the film Lesbian Spank Inferno)

As Jane (Bellman) is walking out with her embarrasing blind date Suzan (Alexander) walks up to her and says "Did you say save me?" and then puts her up against the wall and starts kissing her.

This was a very funny episode but the concept for the episode has been overused all in all a very funny episode of "Coupling" and a very shocking and unexpecting very sexy kiss.

Sarah Alexander (Susan) is just totally hot straight or gay. That kiss just blew me away because it was so filled with passion - from Susan's first approach and the look in her eyes and on her face, pressing Jane firmly against the wall, their bodies so snug against each other, holding each other's face, caressing their hair, and those looks when they finished. It just got to me way more than any explicit scene ever could. 10 out of 10 on the international snog scale.
