A true story of the murder of Teena Brandon, she lived her life as a man to be with women and would not admit to being a lesbian. A very touching and strong performance by Hilary Swank as Teena Brandon, (known as Brandon Teena in the movie). A must see for drama and non-fiction lovers. Hilary Swank won the Academy Award, Gold Globe Award and LA Film Critics Association for best Actress.

Swank meets a young women at the rollar rink for a date. They hold hands while they skate. Swank takes the young women home and they stand outside of her house and kiss for a little bit.

This is my favorite movie of all time. I am a lesbian and at first was hesitant to watch this as I knew the result but, Hilary Swank played an awesome role and sacrificed a lot for this part. It is motivational, yet, heart breaking. A true show of society, human nature, and the downfall of being gay. A recommendation for all people to watch as not only a great movie but, an understanding visual.
