This is one of those somewhat depressing stories about the pretty young girl who runs away to the big city to escape an abusive life, abusive boyfriend, and to start over somewhere new, but instead finds only cold, hunger, and loneliness, with prostitution as the only option for survival. Kari Wuhrer is that young girl in this movie, and Rae Dawn Chong is the street-wise hooker who takes her under her wing, tries to protect her, and in the end dies trying to save her. Like I said, it's a sad movie, and the two women's love for eachother goes well beyond sex.

Actresses:
Kari Wuhrer & Rae Dawn Chong

Early on, Kari's character is simply staying at Rae Dawn's apartment because she's got nowhere else to go. Rae Dawn obviously feels sorry for her, but has no sexual designs on her whatsoever. They're talking together while Rae Dawn is taking a bath, and Kari accidentally falls into the tub with her. They grab eachother, laughing, but that's all there is to it.

Actresses:
Kari Wuhrer & Rae Dawn Chong

Later in the film, Rae Dawn is unhappy that Kari is following her into her chose profession, and the two have an argument that ends with Kari telling her she loves her. They join hands. The next thing we see is Kari very tenderly massaging Rae Dawn's back, then removing her blouse, and then gradually they both lose the rest of their clothes. Both of these actresses have really nice bodies, by the way. The love scene is interrupted by cut-a-ways of the violence out on the streets, somewhat illustrating how these two have become a refuge for one another. The final shot shows them both lying nude together, with Kari's back against Rae Dawn's front. Very beautiful.

Again, not a very explicit film, but a very nice love scene nonetheless between the two women, interrupted though it is. The fact that it wasn't primarily a sexual relationship somehow makes the whole thing seem even hotter. The rest of the movie was mostly violent with despicable male characters, but all-in-all I enjoyed it. Kari's scene with Rae Dawn is what makes it really worth seeing, though!

The classical story of the young somewhat naive girl (Wuhrer) that comes to the big city escaping her past and ends as a prostitute. Luckly her, there was an older somewhat wise hooker (Dawn Chong) who was good enough to take her under her wings.
The two women are living together in somewhat sisterly relation. In a sequence showing us that they are shown sharing every day. But you notice more and more that what started at the begining as sisterly relation was turning into a couple with Wuhrer doing more and more the Wife role. The sequence ends with Wuhrer and Dawn Chong talking in the bathroom while the later is taking a bath. Suddenly she pulls Wuhrer into the tub and share an akward look... No kiss but very nice bounding scene.
After a fight over Wuhrer taking the streets, they end at the kitchen, where they declare theyre love for each other in a very moving scene. After that the scene changes to the bedroom where Dawn Chong is naked and Wuhrer starts rubbing oil on her body in a brief attemp at a massage that turns into a heavy session of caressing, Dawn Chong undresses Wuhrer and the two of them make slow sensous love. They really looked like they care for each other. There are lots of kisses, breast kisses, and caresses, and even an attempt of showing tribadism. Saddly that scene gets interrupted a couple of times by images of Wuhrer's ex searching for her...
