One of the detectives involved goes around to LA's assorted lesbian bars and nightclubs to ask questions about the victim. In one club, a group of showgirls are dancing for the patrons, and occasionally kiss as part of the choreography.

Mia is the Black Dahlia herself. Jemima is another actress/suspect brought in for questioning. Jemima reveals that she and Mia had done a pornographic film together. Footage of it shows them kissing first in lingerie, then topless. Then Mia lies on her stomach on a bed and Jemima lies on top of her. Then it is implied that Jemima is inserting a very menacing looking dildo into Mia, who does not look like she's enjoying it, from behind.
