The set up for the movie sounds better than it actually plays. Overall, the movie is kind of like a big-budget erotic movie without the fun. But I've always had a crush on Madsen, and the whole smoke thing was fantastic!

The one great moment in the film is their opium-smoke sharing scene, which leads to them making tender & not quite explicit love. Not earthshaking passion, but nice enough while it lasts.
