It's the 1920s and a 30-something woman (Catherine Jourdan) returns to the all-girl boarding school, located in the french countryside, where she studied as a young teenager. She has returned to take the position as the school's ballet instructor. She's also reunited with the female teacher (Ingrid Caven) who had been her lover back then. |

Sycluna, the girl Jourdan became so fascinated with, is not so easily seduced. Jourdan's advancements are on numerous occasions rejected and this makes Jourdan even more bewitched by her. Sycluna is all she can think about.
One day, Sycluna stays behind after a ballet class. She watches Jourdan dance for her and at the end of the dance act, Jourdan crawls over to Sycluna very submissively and caresses her feets. Jourdan says she wants Sycluna to accompany her to a small island in the middle of the lake near the school. On the island is an old abandonded castle which they will go to. Jourdan promises her that they will be back at the school before the evening.
