Wacky bi-curious hi-jinks ensue when Lucy Liu admits that she has a steamy lesbian dream about Calista Flockhart. While at first Calista is put off by this, she begins to change her thinking after dancing seductivly with her at a bar, leading to an after hours kiss at their office to quell their curiosity.

Flockhart and Liu go to dinner to get to know one another and discuss the afformentioned dream. They decide to screw with the annoying guys drooling over them by making them think they are lesbians. They go out to the dance floor and begin dancing seductivly with each other to the sounds of 'Pretty Woman'. Lots of very nice longing glances here, with some caressing and even some brief finger sucking. The scene ends with Liu walking Flockhart back to her apartment, laughing and talking about how much fun they had. There is some awkwardness, and Liu quickly kisses her date on the cheek. Flockhart watches Liu walk away, looking as if she was dissapointed. A good lead in to the second scene.

Flockhart cant get the sexy dancing with Liu out of her mind. Sitting in her office after hours Liu stops by and they talk about what happened and what they are feeling for each other. Liu locks the door and asks Flockhart to come over to her. They talk a bit about curiosity before Liu slowly leans in to kiss her. It's a long slow one, about 25 seconds in length (but whose timing?). They part and Flockhart agrees to one more short one. They start to kiss again as the screen goes to black.

Although obviously just a ratings stunt, the buildup is nice and it's a real good kiss; Nothing too explicit, with Flockhart reaching up to tenderly hold Liu's neck a nice touch.

Actually to somewhat revise the previous review, the scene between Flockhart and Liu does an exceptional job with the kiss, but the fade to black, with music still playing leaves a great image that more than just a kiss happens in Ally's office. True, no love scene at the end but the tease on the imagination is probably as good as it gets.

I have to say that this episode is very nice. The scene with the kiss is awesome, but in my opinion the scene where Flockhart and Liu are dancing slowly with each other is even hotter. The tension between them while they are dancing is incredible, you can really feel it. |
