Actresses: Alison Folland & Tara Subkoff
Our main character (Alison Folland) is a budding Lesbian who is in love with her best friend (Tara Subkoff). Her friend however is involved with a guy and oblivous to it. In this scene Subkoff, who has been out with the guy returns in the morning and wakes up Folland. As she is telling Folland of her experience from the night Folland asks her to "Show her". The two kiss a little, caress and things get warm but then it ends.

Actresses: Alison Folland & Leisha Hailey
The two meet at a club where the punkish but cute Hailey is in a band. Some nice eye contact and chemistry as Folland watches her play. The two end up back at Hailey's house and Hailey obvously has love on the brain. She eventually makes a move but Folland freaks out and that's it.

Actresses: Alison Folland & Leisha Hailey
Later we are back at Hailey's house and the two are playing cards on the bed. Again Hailey is clearly in the mood for some action and after some cute word play makes her move. Some nice kissing and things heat up as Folland lays down while the clearly hornier Hailey kisses all around her body. Folland then freezes and the scene ends.

Actresses: Alison Folland & Tara Subkoff
Folland's true love, her best friend Subkoff is back after her boyfriend murders someone. The two are in a bed together and Subkoff finally seems willing to make love. She refuses, however, to tell Folland she loves her and so the scene ends with that.

Actresses: Alison Folland & Leisha Hailey
The two have become lovers (finally) but all we will see is a kiss before Hailey's mother comes home.

Actresses: Alison Folland & Leisha Hailey
Folland and Hailey are downtown and Hailey tries to kiss her but the hesitant Hailey says that it might not be such a good idea to kiss each other in public. She soon rethinks and they give each other a very nice kiss. |

A nice movie with believable characters and good acting. I would have liked to have seen the girls actually together but the chemistry and almost love scenes are still nice to watch.

Touching accurate depiction of teenage sexual awakening. The story focuses on best freinds one gay, one straight and how they deal with their feelings toward their enviornment, new sexual realtionships and each other.
Deficit in exploration of both characters, but worked as a whole. Appropriate sexuality w/age geographic of the story. Kissing scenes w/the gay teenagers are quite sweet.

This is one of my favorite movies because it really brings me back to the time when I was young. I just don't think you can help but feel that way because you are really brought into the time and place in which this story occurs, and you symapthize with the characters to an amazing degree. I don't so much think it's about being gay or straight or what happens when you want something from someone they just never can give, it's about being young, about starting to have feelings that you don't truly understand, and working your way through it to some conclusion you feel at peace with. I call it beautiful because it's about the innocence of young girls who are best friends. I mean, how many of us haven't fallen in love with our best friends. Allison Folland plays the main character who wants to run away with her best friend who she has romantic feelings for, she just wants to run away from the depressing life they live, and she has dreams. Her friend has similar feelings for her, I believe, and flirts with her in a very tragic, longing way. It drives our main character crazy, now that her body is blossuming and homones are starting to really kick in. It's classic to experiment with your best friend, isn't it? And I think it's great. What she wants is to get out of town, to have a greater and better life, and she thinks her friend is the perfect person to do that with. Her friend, however, has other ideas about who she should love, and beomes a drooling whore for the block's resident hood. He treats her like shit, and she keeps coming back for more. Our main character just can't see the sense in all of that, and they eventually part ways, with much disappointment. It's a great coming of age story, but with an unhappy ending for the girls, but the main character is hopeful as she has moved on and found another girl she can be friends with. One who doesn't play with her mind, likes to kiss her, and shares her life goals! A great movie.

I found this movie to be both a good story and a good source for girls kissing. The kisses shared here are not necessarily erotic, however they were quite exciting for me because it depicts how i would envision two girls liking each other might look and act as teenagers. (I would guess the characters were in their mid teens). There is one scene worth mentioning. The star and the punk girl are at the punk girls' house. They start listening to music and sorta dancing. I'ts obvious the punk girl is into the star, and the star seems to be into the punk girl, but the scene ends before anything happens. Greeeeat buildup, too bad it drops you off. All in all a good one to rent. only complaint: the kissing is always either interrupted, or not long enough and there is no real love scene.
