Karrie Webb, 27, fell in love with rival Kelly Robbins, 32, after splitting from her fiancé. The couple have been constant companions on the LPGA tour for four years, a sensational new book reveals. World No2 Karrie — winner of five major tournaments and more than $7million prize money — jealously guards her private life. But golf writer Charles Happell has now uncovered her lesbian secret. In a biography called simply “Karrie Webb” he writes: “Karrie's constant companion over the past four years has been Kelly Robbins.” Karrie, who took up golf as an eight-year-old, is Australia's most successful ever female player. She turned pro in 1994, then defied a broken wrist to make the LPGA tour. She has been in the world's top five ever since. Kelly is one of America's top woman stars, with more than $4million career earnings. The forthcoming book also details Karrie's 1996 break-up with fiancé Todd Haller.
